Practically everyone has visited a Starbucks some time in his or her life. The drinks are known internationally as well as favoured above any other café. With so much variety, it’s no small wonder that Starbucks draws teens from every clique. In fact, the students from Espérer Heights actually have all their cliques based upon the menu. But, that’s not all Espérer has.
Some of the most gifted and talented students attend the academy—many of which come from New York’s wealthiest and most powerful families. It’s no small wonder they’re called the crème de la crème, cream of the crop. Partying and gossip are just a small part of the drama, while friendship and bonds are easily broken.
Added to the mixture is Laura No Lies, a webzine based upon the students and the happenings surrounding them. Though some may think of her as the equivalent of ‘gossip girl’ since she’s there to expose it all, whoever she or he is, they do way worse. This is someone who goes farther than the whole ‘you know you love me’ and really trashes reputations until there is nothing left. Laura No Lies also organizes the school’s insatiable hunger for dares. Think it’s all fun and games?
Well, in this world of power and wealth mixed with talent and the normal—perfect balance is far from being achieved. It seems that drama will do everything to tear people apart, and it certainly is hard to keep up any firm foundation. For even the glitzy upper eastside isn’t all crème and dreams~*

Crème de la crème{*~Elites}:These are the all-powerful, wealthy and beautiful elites of the school. Used to getting everything they want, the rest of the school is as good as slaves. Here, the true royalty of Espérer Heights is all crème de la crème.[/font]
Strawberry{*~Preps}:Automatically, one thinks of the polos, bubble gum pink, and unnaturally blonde girls. Full of school spirit and a yearning for making the A-list Crèmes, they’re not far behind from the top. Still, some just get too annoyed by their unwavering smiles and cheery attitudes.
Chocolate chip{*~Jocks}:Espérer Heights is one of the most competitive schools due to the high standing it has maintained all these years. The jocks from here are already planning on a professional career in athletics. They’re competitive, good-looking, and highly sought after, just like the drink they’re named after—though still second like the strawberries.
Caramel{*~Sluts & Players}:Many think of caramel as being too sweet—well, that’s how the sluts and players are. These guys and gals are just too charming and flattering to be true. Still, many of them can get by because of their looks. But, that doesn’t mean everyone likes them.
White chocolate{*~Sweethearts}:These people are the sweethearts of the academy. Whether it’s being a tutor if you need help on a test or lending a helping hand, they’re always there. They give the best advice and truly care. Unfortunately, they’re usually walked on like carpets.
Vanilla{*~Average & Normals}:They’re not dirt poor, but they’re not rich. They’re not amazingly smart, but they’re not dumb either. This group basically has a fine balance in everything. They are literally either overlooked or not really cared about at Espérer.
Tazo chai{*~Foreigners}:With exotic looks and intriguing accents, these are the foreigners of Espérer. Some are exchange students while others have just moved to New York. They are not as easily led by the Crèmes since they’re not used to being treated as so.
Mocha:{*~Scenes/Dramatists}
Heavy eyeliner, Hot Topic, and crazy hair—they are the dramatists. But, they’re not the type to try out for the school play. These kids are constantly in the school’s spotlight and are often referred to as ‘the scenes’ as well as the mocha.
Hazelnut{*~Geeks & Nerds}:Harvard and Princeton’s future graduating students—these are the hardworking, diligent students of Espérer. Some are naturally smart, while others simply enjoy reaching that stage. Basically, they’re the geeks of high school—but also your future bosses.
Chai tea{*~the Artists}:Paintbrushes or cameras are simply tools of expression for these unique individuals. They are very artsy and looking at everything through eyes similar to Money or Van Goh. Truly, some of the most interesting people you’ll ever meet.
Mint{*~Musicians & Dancers}:Every time they hear a note or melody they sing, play, or dance along. These teens always have some sort of song in their head and are usually asked to do parties. Speaking with this set will prove to be refreshing.
Double-shot{*~Addicts & Druggies}:Here lie the real losers of the school. They smoke and drink anything and everything. Usually, also some of the most depressed or rebellious kids of Espérer are in this clique. Though they may seem strong, they are also empty—just like the coffee they are named after.Hot Cocoa{*~Poets}:Wintry nights or being with friends-- either prove to be a great time for hot cocoa and poetry. These are the literary artists of Esperer. They have a way with words and can be just as charming as the caramels. Whether it be Shakespeare or Poe-- these are the poets and they know.
Then again, it doesn’t really matter who or what—but when and where. That is, when and where you’ll show your true colours. Maybe through a dare…or at one of those alcohol and sex filled parties? Well, you’ll do it someway. And when you do, I’ll be there to write it all down so everyone knows. After all, if it’s truth how is it gossip? I’m just here to open everyone’s eyes, because we all know that even the upper east side isn’t crème and dreams~*
